TOM WITT
Tom Witt is a Berklee College of Music graduate, and has since assembled an impressive array of credits on his musical journey. He has toured extensively with many artists, including Javier Colon, Missing Persons and American Idol Live!, and worked with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Enrique Iglesias, Andrae Crouch, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Impromp2, Lemar, Pepe Aguilar, Martha Reeves, Isyss, Don Omar, Jackiem Joyner, Keiko Matsui, Mindi Abair, and many more.
In 2009, he was a member of the house band on “The Brian McKnight Show” which aired on BET. Other television appearances include the 2005 Latin Grammy Awards, “The Ryan Seacrest Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” BET’s “106 & Park” and “Soul Train.” Tom’s recording career includes #1 singles, film soundtracks and commercial jingles. He has also had the privilege of tracking sessions with drummers Steve Smith, Vinnie Colaiuta, Carmine Appice, Abe Laboriel, Jr., Russ Miller, and Joey Heredia. Currently, Tom works as an L.A.- based sideman and session player.
For MI, Tom teaches the Slap Bass 101 and Intro To Keyboard Bass courses, and leads the Funk, Hip-Hop, and Old School Hip-Hop LPW’s.
