Drummer, composer, producer, bandleader. The Paul Peress Project has appeared in over 20 countries. Peress has been Music Director/Drummer for Chaka Khan, Moby, Deniece Williams, and Brenda Russell; and Drummer with the B-52’s, Mary Wilson, and Regina Belle.

He’s co-written several songs with Grammy Winners Bill Champlin, Brenda Russell, and Deniece Williams. His latest album Falling Awake features a Who’s Who of cutting edge musicians. As a drummer, he is competent in all styles, including Jazz, Brazilian, Latin, Blues, Fusion, and Rock. When home in Los Angeles, he teaches privately and at the Musician’s Institute.

An avid reader, Peress is writing an international action thriller. He has a BA in Economics from Columbia University, and a Masters in Performance from NYC’s Aaron Copeland School of Music.
