LUCIO VIEIRA

Born and raised in Manaus, Brazil, raised by musician parents, Lucio developed a keen sense of the art form as a child. From an early age Lucio was exposed to classical music, 80s 90s rock & soul, jazz, Brazilian and pop music. Such eclecticism later influenced and shaped his career as a musician. Drummer and educator, Lucio won a Latin Grammy in 2012 playing drum set in the album called “Iluminado” by the genius accordion player Dominguinhos.

Lucio has been touring and recording with several artists around the globe, including: Dominguinhos, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia, Elba Ramalho, Arthur Maia, Gilson Peranzzeta, Danilo Caymmi, Wagner Tiso, Nelson Ayres, Ney Conceição, Roberto Menescal, João Donato, Thiago Amud, Zélia Duncan, Rique Pantoja, Sérgio Mendes, Amy Keys, Steve Weingarter, Justo Almario, Natália Jimenez, Herb Alpert, Larry Coryell, Allen Hinds, Frank Gambale and more.
