JOE TESTAI
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nv., Joe Testai started working as a stage hand at the Thomas and Mack Center and various studios in Las Vegas. Joe relocated to Hollywood in 2002 and started working at Musicians Institute as a Studio Session Supervisor and then as an Instructor shortly thereafter.
For over 20 years Joe has been working in the studio and classrooms with hundreds of the most talented musicians, engineers, producers, instructors and students from all over the world including projects such as; Dweezil Zappa- (“Zappa Plays Zappa”), Sigur Ros- (Hiema-“at home”), Alsuo- (A U Moey Lubvi – “And My Love“), Uncle Moe’s Space Ranch- (“Moe’s Town”) and others.
Joe is a GIT and FIT graduate with an Associates Degree in Music Performance and Film, Pro Tools certified, Logic Certified, Waves certified, and has taught many of the courses offered in the Audio Engineering program including Console Operations, Recording Theory, Musicianship, Practical Recording, Mixing Labs and more.
