Learning Community From Anywhere

MI Online students will receive MI’s unique and innovative curriculum taught in an online environment that is designed to be flexible and engaging, and allows students to study, practice, and learn while managing their work and family obligations.

LEARN FROM THE PROS
AE MIO faculty are the same faculty teaching our on-campus classes, so they already have an understanding of the studio environment, recording process, gear, DAW’s, and technology. Our faculty have countless hours in the recording studio, are Grammy winners, and continuously work with current artists to bring their expertise into the MIO classroom. Our MIO teachers know the audio industry, from audio for video games, to live sound, to the recording studio.
Tuition Savings

MIO tuition is 18% cheaper than our on-campus tuition, as the online students do not have access to our Hollywood facilities. Students also save because they will not incur any relocation costs, which means more flexibility and cost savings to work from and build their own home studio.

FULLY IMMERSIVE CURRICULUM

Studio Recording Technology students will be taught by industry experienced instructors in studio environments, where they’ll gain practical experience on professional-level consoles and recording equipment. Some highlights include:

  • Learn how to manage the entire audio production process, from pre-production and tracking, to mixing and mastering.
  • Develop industry-ready post-production skills and have a full-scope understanding of the live sound process.
  • Real-world electives such as Logic 1 and 2, Small Footprint Digital Consoles, Advanced Music Production, Internships (where applicable) and Project Studio Design
  • Recording, mixing and mastering of original projects with the assistance of a seasoned MIO instructor.
Partnerships
As an MI student, you become part of a global network of arts, entertainment and educational companies. These partnerships and affiliates can offer students direct access to the music industry and help with their careers after graduation, including but not limited to internships, job placements, gear discounts, and more.
