TIMOTHY ANDREW EDWARDS
Timothy is a SESAC writer (an “invitation only” performing rights society) and an ASCAP, BMI and SESAC publisher. A former voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammys) and member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists, he is a key panelist at conferences and events and a frequent guest lecturer where he speaks on the art and business of media composition and music licensing. Edwards was featured in the top selling book “Guerrilla Film Scoring: Practical Advice from Hollywood Composers” alongside such composers as Stewart Copeland (The Police) and ten time Emmy winner, Bruce Broughton. Edwards is the Production Music Association’s current Chair of the Composer Committee as well as being the creative director and co-founder of Move Music LLC, a new, high-end music licensing company where he oversees a roster of over thirty, established composers and songwriters.
Timothy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music (Cum Laude), and teaches courses in both the Music Business Associate degree and Certificate program including Production Music For Visual Media 1 and 2, Music Publishing & Licensing 4, and Music Licensing & Supervision.
