A Musicians Institute alumnus, Erik Carlson specializes in Jazz and Funk. He has toured with Jeff Hershey and the Heartbeats and also performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival with For the Record: Tarantino in Concert.

At MI, Erik teaches Guitar Technique, Guitar Performance, Private Lessons, Harmony Theory and Ear Training.
