Al Shaw is a music manager and communications consultant with over 15 years of experience in the music and media business. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing Communications from Columbia College in Chicago. Al has worked as a booking and tour agent, label manager, publicist and a Director of Public Relations and Marketing for an outfit of data focused investigative news outlets, The Chicago Reporter and Catalyst Chicago. Prior to starting his company, Machine Creative Management.

In 2016, he worked at three boutique booking and management agencies based in Berlin and Mexico City that represented electronic acts and producers including Juan Atkins, Maurizio Dami, Echospace, Alex Bau, Gus Gus, and many others.

Al’s current clients include up and coming artists, DJ’s and producers, songwriters, record labels and sound engineers. He has co-produced two electronic EP’s and co-wrote an R&B Dance single with Nikki Carter and Grammy nominated producer Doug Rasheed.

Al also serves as a ghostwriter for an arts and culture blog and is pursuing a certification to mentor and counsel creative professionals.
