MI SUCCESS STORY: SVANHILD SKREDE

Svanhild Skrede is a Norwegian born and based A&R Manager at Sony Music Entertainment Norway. Svanhild grew up playing piano and having a love for music, but decided early on that music performance was not something she wanted to pursue. Coming from a small village on the west coast of Norway, she didn’t know the opportunities available in music management until she found a bachelor program back home. Her program encouraged Svanhild to take a semester abroad, where she found the Music Business program in the Spring of 2015.

Svanhild says of her decision to go to MI,

“The reason why I felt so strongly about MI compared to other schools was because of all the different classes, [which were] quite different from the classes we had in Norway.”

After finishing her course at MI, she returned to Norway and started a trainee position at Sony Music Norway through Sony Music A&R Academy. She is currently still working as a A&R Manager in Sony Music Norway, and has worked on several projects, working with Jesper Jenset, SJUR and Norwegian pop duo, Marcus & Martinus.
