MI SUCCESS STORY: SAGE WEEBER

Sage Weeber was born and raised in Moline, Illinois. When he was around 7 years old, a fateful game of Guitar Hero 2 led him to pick up a pair of drumsticks and continue on the path he is on today. By his early teens, he knew he wanted to pursue drums and in the Fall of 2016, he moved to Hollywood to enroll at Musicians Institute.

Not even a year and a half into his college career, he’s worked with Spencer Sutherland (X-Factor), Dave Days (famous YouTuber), Jada Facer (ABC Actress), Beau Burchill (Saosin), and recently released a single with his band Point North which has gained over 150,000 streams.

In January of 2017, Sage was chosen as Drum Magazine’s “New Blood,” where he had a half-page article written about him. This year, Sage is preparing to play with band Quote Unquote at Vans Warped Tour, releasing a new signature stick model with Regal Tip Drumsticks, and graduating with his Associate’s Degree from MI.

Sage says that MI taught him the invaluable lesson of networking, saying,

“The most important thing I learned at MI was to constantly network with people everyday. This way of thinking has insanely impacted my career in such a positive way…There’s thousands of people who want the same dream as you, but you have to believe that you’re going to be the one who is the last one standing.”
