MI SUCCESS STORY: MINA KOO
Singer, songwriter & performer Mina Koo’s self-titled debut album, influenced by Madonna, Lady Gaga & Michael Jackson, earned her rave reviews in both the U.S. and South Korea. Some of the album’s songs were featured in films & TV shows including MTV’s Challenge: Battle of the Seasons and E! Network’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians. K-POP remixes of Mina’s tracks “Suddenly” and “Beautiful Thing” have both hit #1 on the Melon chart (S. Korea’s equivalent of iTunes), and Mina has performed at high-profile concerts across the U.S. and Asia.
In addition, Mina was nominated several times at the Hollywood Music and Media Awards, and her club anthem “Troubadours (Dance Floors)” was selected as a Finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Mina is also endorsed by Telefunken-ElektroAkustik microphones.
“MI is my home, where I developed as an artist,” said Mina. “The teachers, fellow musicians and staff at MI are like a big family!”
In 2017, Mina released her self-titled EP which will support Keep-A-Breast Foundation to educate people about breast cancer prevention. She was also nominated at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for her single, “Suddenly (Synthinel Remix.)”
