MI SUCCESS STORY: KELLY KATHLEEN

MI Guitar Alum Kelly Kathleen started taking music lessons at 13 and that decision would impact the rest of her life. After studying at MI, Kelly kept busy in two bands, the “psych surf garage rockers” La Luna’s and The Viviennes. La Luna’s featured expert drummer Patty Schemel (Hole, Juliette & The Licks) and Sasha Vallely of Spindrift, and they played shows at NAMM 2014.

Kelly was also a guitar instructor at the non-profit educational program Girls Rock Camp LA, alongside fellow instructors Exene Cervenka (the band X), Nicole Fiorentino (Smashing Pumpkins), and Sara Bareilles.
