MI SUCCESS STORY: IRVING VICTORIA

Irving Victoria is a young Mexican film composer who, from early on in his life, was surrounded by music in his home. When he was 15 years old, Irving was inspired by Jordan Rudess, keyboardist and composer of Dream Theater, to study music and be the best at it he could be. 

He eventually enrolled at MI, and after graduating with an Associate of Arts in Performance (Keyboard) he attended the UCLA Film Scoring Program. He started his music career by playing keyboards with various Grammy Award winning artists like Chino y Nacho, Diego Torres, David Bisbal, and Tommy Torres, among others.

Irving said of the curriculum at MI, “What I learned from labs like Open Counseling and LPW (Live Playing Workshops), which ended up being classes that changed my life and made me the musician I am today.”

Irving’s music has been featured in over 100 television shows on networks like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Fox, MTV, Hallmark, Discovery Channel, NatGeo, History Channel, Bravo TV, E!, A&E, Syfy, NBC and Animal Planet. He has also worked on video games and movie trailers like, The Amazing Spider Man 2 and The Elder’s Scroll: Back to Morrowind.

Irving has also worked on films and TV shows from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, like Das Boot, Tatort, Wilsberg, Mean Flesh und Blunt and the International Emmy Award winner show for Best TV Movie/mini series, A Day for a Miracle.
