MI SUCCESS STORY: ELAINE FAYE

Elaine Faye had her song, “Crashing in Love,” chosen as the theme song to a show on the FYI/A&E Network called Black Love. The show and song were both featured recently on ABC’s Nightline. Elaine and her band, We Are The Big Bang, (with MI alum Cheyenne Melton) have also returned to campus for the MI Conversation Series, where they spoke about their rising career and performed a few songs.

Previously, Elaine signed with music licensing firm Hype Music, a joint venture of MTV Networks and Extreme Music (Sony/ATV’s production music library). Hype Music is headed by former KCRW Music Director Nic Harcourt, who helped launch the careers of such artists as KT Tunstall, Sigur Ros, Damien Rice, Death Cab for Cutie, and Interpol. She is currently gearing up to release a new music project under the name, EE Beyond.
