MI SUCCESS STORY: DAN PETERS

Dan Peters is a native Chicagoan who picked up his first guitar at 6 years old and has been playing ever since! In the early ‘90s, Dan received an Honors certificate for Guitar at Musicians Institute in Hollywood and that led him to his long career as a professional full-time musician for over 25 years.

Dan has had a variety of experience in the industry, including live band performance & touring, recording and session work, songwriting, private guitar instruction, acting & musical theater. He also plays in a variety of styles including rock, jazz, blues, country, heavy metal, reggae and classical. Dan currently plays with his band The West Side Winders, an original, American roots-rock power trio who have been playing together since the early 2000’s.

Outside of his current band, Dan’s credits include: Dee Snider’s Rock ‘n Roll Christmas Tale, Rock of Ages/Broadway Co., Blue Man Group Productions NYC, Kristin Chenoweth, Under The Streetlamp, Rocktopia, ReMastered and Jools Holland.
