ERIC COPELAND

The Los Angeles based singer – songwriter Eric Lyn (Copeland) started his journey performing in Kansas City, Kansas. At such an early age, he was surrounded by many notable musicians that sparked his interest to learn music and establish a career in vocal arts.

Eric attended Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee and received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Degree with an emphasis in vocal performance. During his matriculation, Eric was a member of the historic and world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers. An esteemed ensemble that gave Eric the opportunity to travel the United States and perform in places ranging from Carnegie Hall to the White House.

Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Ca, Eric pursued higher education and received his Masters of Music degree in Vocal performance at California State University, Northridge. He was also a contestant on the Emmy winning NBC show The Voice for season 13. Eric reached major exposure, captivated the world with his soulful rendition of “Ooh Child” by the Five Stairsteps, and became a member on team JHUD. During the show, he had the opportunity to work with Kelly Rowland and Kelly Clarkson as guest advisors for Team JHud.

Currently, he’s a voice instructor at the Musicians Institute teaching vocal technique and performance to new promising musicians of tomorrow. Eric also continues to work in the industry as a background vocal for hire with esteemed artist such as Snoh Aalegra, Bazzi, Matoma, Aloe Black, Billy Porter, Shoshana Bean, Kiana Lede, Cordae, Amber Riley, August 88, Sunday Service Choir, Queen Naija, Syd, Gallant, John Legend, etc.
