Honey Revenge is a pop-rock duo consisting of Donovan Lloyd (Guitar) and Devin Papadol (Vocals) who just released their debut album, Retrovision, via Thriller Records.
The band has gotten support from major streamers’ playlists, including Spotify and Apple Music, where they’ve steadily gained a larger fanbase in their local Los Angeles, and beyond. With this new album, Honey Revenge is on the verge of breaking out, and Papadol, a graduate of Musicians Institute, tells Upset Magazine that her time studying here is a big credit to their success so far.
She said, “Honey Revenge would not be the band it is without me having the knowledge and experience I gained at MI. It gives you a chance to practice and get mistakes out of the way before entering a real scene of music.”

Because of that, our curriculum was built so that regardless of your primary program, all students are able to study topics such as marketing, social media, management, and more. She continued,
“I started out on the vocal performance and songwriting program before switching to the independent artist program, where I learned how to market my music – how to make your brand and find your fanbase. With the industry how it is right now, it’s the artists’ job to do most of the legwork. It’s important to have control over how you want to be perceived.”
