Artist & Career Services
Overview
One of Musicians Institute’s top priorities is preparing students and alumni for successful careers in today’s competitive entertainment industry. MI’s Artist & Career Services (ACS) Department was established as an extensive resource center to offer active professional and personal development opportunities, so that you can be empowered to accomplish your career aspirations during and after MI.
Our ACS advisors are available for individual appointments to discuss your personal goals, needs, questions, and challenges as an artist and/or student. ACS also hosts a variety of on-campus (and virtual) events and partnerships with many A-list industry professionals, companies, and brands.
With ACS, you’ll gain the tools and knowledge to chase your dreams head-on.
ACS Brings the Industry to Campus
Mentorship Program
Work With Industry Pros – Book a private mentoring session with one of our career or industry mentors – they’ve won Grammys, produced hit songs, work with some of your favorite artists, and some teach at MI.
Partnerships
MI partners with many of your favorite brands and companies to provide discounts, contests, work opportunities, and more. They have even had access to new products before they hit the market by participating in focus groups and product surveys from the brands they love!
Clinics
Guest clinicians and speakers from all disciplines visit MI and offer students and alumni a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight from professionals currently working in all sectors of the music industry. Each clinic, forum, or workshop is a customized experience by the clinician that may include Q&A, performances, and more.
Auditions
We have hosted preliminary private auditions for network talent shows like American Idol, The Voice, America’s Got Talent & more. We also host auditions for a variety of other entertainment opportunities, with past clients including Princess Cruise Lines and TK.

Who We Partner With In The Industry
We’re proud of all of the connections we have made throughout our history here in Hollywood. These partnerships have been one of the foundations of the ACS department, allowing us to collaborate with some of the biggest brands and labels in the entertainment industry and expose students to endless opportunities during and after MI.
Some of the available student/alumni benefits from our partners include brand discounts, concert tickets, exclusive contests, internship and work opportunities, and more. Many of these brands have generously hosted sponsored events at our campus, where students can be part of focus groups and get first looks into new gear collections. In addition, the MI Library receives gear donations from our partners that are available to be rented out by students
